Not yet...
The pacing is slow, and oh what a risky title leaving the creators open to cheap, easy, ridicule, but so far HBO's new "hard-boiled" comedy starring Jason Shwartzman is pretty decent.
I'm certainly not floored, and being a longtime fan of actual hard-boiled film and fiction, the attempt at homage and comedic allusion is nothing all that groundbreaking.
Ted Danson's George Christopher, is actually a standout. So far decent, entertaining. I'll give it a few more eps.
